Anca CRĂCIUN  got a BA in Geography at the University of Bucharest in 2011, Faculty of Agro-Food and Environmental Economics in 2012 at the Bucharest University of Economic Studies and an MA in Environmental Management and Sustainable Development in 2014. At present, she is a PhD student at the Bucharest University, The Faculty of Biology, Doctoral School in Ecology.

Since 2015 she has been working for the Danube Delta National Institute for Research and Development, Tulcea, within the Ecological Restauration and Species Recovery Department, in the framework of the Ecological Restoration research group.

Her main research interests are in the economic evaluation of functions and services of the Natural Capital components (CN), in particular of the Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve, the development and application of the theory of ecosystem sustainability, theoretical foundation and testing of the (integrated) ecosystem management and of the adaptive and complex ecosystems of the Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve.
